The Tokaido Hiroshige Museum of Art, which opened in 1994 in Yui Honjin Park, the former site of the main camp of Yuijuku, a post town on the Tokaido Highway, is the first museum in Japan to bear the name of the Edo period ukiyoe artist ・ Hiroshige Utagawa ( 1797-1858 ). The collection includes Hiroshige's representative Tokaido series, "Tokaido Gojusan-tsugi no nouchi" ( Tokaido in Hoeido version ), "Tokaido Gojusan-tsugi" ( Tokaido in sligature ), "Tokaido Gojusan-tsugi no nouchi" ( Tokaido in running script ), as well as his late masterpiece "Meisho Edo hyakkei" (One hundred Famous Views of Edo) and others. The exhibition features approximately 1,400 prints, including a masterpiece of his later years, "Meisho Edo hyakkei (One hundred views of famous places in Edo)".
