Minami-Alps UNESCO Eco Park Minami-Alps Biosphere Reserve

Under the philosophy of "biological and cultural diversity nurtured by high mountains and deep valleys," 10 municipalities in Yamanashi, Nagano, and Shizuoka prefectures united to create the Minami-Alps UNESCO Eco Park in June 2014. The park was registered as a UNESCO Eco Park in June 2014.

The aim is to jointly work for the permanent conservation and sustainable utilization of the outstanding natural environment and traditional culture of the Southern Alps, and to create an attractive region that takes advantage of the benefits of nature.
